Your everyday clog.

What is grounding?

Grounding means making an electrical connection between your body and the Earth. The Kuyu has a pure copper plug through its leather sole, creating a conductive path when you stand or walk on a conductive ground surface.

The copper connection is one part of the design. The wide toe box, zero-drop heel, and flexible sole are what let your feet move naturally.

Space for your toes to spread. Flexibility to move naturally. Nothing forcing your feet into a shape they weren't made for.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should the Kuyu fit?

Runs true to size. Use the size finder above with your foot length. Allow extra room for socks and adjust the buckle for a comfortable fit.

Will the leather soften with wear?

Yes. Natural leather stretches and breaks in. A snug fit can relax, but do not rely on break-in to fix toes that feel jammed. Try your pair carefully indoors first.

What makes these barefoot shoes?

The Kuyu combines a wide toe box, a zero-drop heel, and a thin, flexible sole. That means room for your toes and freedom to move, in an everyday clog.

How does the copper plug work?

The copper plug passes through the sole to create a conductive connection with the ground. Grounding depends on contact with a conductive surface; the plug does not make every surface conductive. Learn more about grounding.

Shoe is too wide I wear a US9N.
If they are custom making the shoe then I feel it should be made by the customers actual foot. I need these to be
33/4 across your box
101/2 insole length
101/4 my foot length
Yes I have long skinny narrow feet.
I have a pair of sandals that are literally too wide for my foot even though I tightened down the straps I look crazy in them because clearly they are way too wide.

They arrived in Spain, but when they got to my house, I had to pay an extra €20 (on top of the hefty international shipping costs) for customs. The shoes themselves are beautiful. It's true that they run small. I ordered almost two sizes up. The copper pin is great, but it digs in a bit, and if you're completely barefoot, it's a little uncomfortable because it doesn't sit perfectly flat on the sole. In terms of width and the barefoot concept, I wish they were a bit wider. They're quite snug. 7.5/10

Cool Groundings through the day...Light and Energetic.

Warm the Toes while Energizing the Cores...Balance the night.

These are my slippers. Finally I have slippers. Snug works!

The slippers are really comfortable, i walked for 2 hours in Japan and my feet didn't even hurt.

Super super small. Get two sizes up
I am size 8.5 in women's. Thought 9 would do but too small to even wear. I will be reorderingat a size 11

OBSESSED

I love these shoes soooo much!!

Beautiful shoes

I absolutely love Rhizal shoes. I bought a pair of the Brio's a few years ago and they have served me extremely well so I decided to order these in order to have a slipper type shoe that would be extremely easy to slip on and off. They just arrived today and they are perfect. They feel very luxurious on my feet and I look forward to wearing them in. Great craftsmanship, grounded and natural materials. Doesn't get better than this. Thank you!

Comfy and Practical

Been using them for the past couple days and the functionality of it is amazing. Space for your toes, natural materials and the icing on the cake is that it’s grounded. Highly recommend to anyone considering.

Love these shoes so much!

Okay, I was super excited to get these in the mail and the absolutely did not disappoint! I love the feel and everything about the leather. I love that these are grounded. The only thing I would change is maybe going up a size more than I did. I usually wear a size 7.5 because my feet are wide, otherwise I could properly wear a size 7. I went up to an 8 because they didn’t offer half sizes, and hindsight I almost wish I had gone with a 9. The wide toe box is great, and the leather does stretch and adjust so nicely to the foot, but the soles just aren’t very long. Even with my short toes my heels are right on the edge of the sole- especially if I’m wearing socks with them. All too say I recommend these so highly, but would definitely also recommend sizing up at least one but maybe two sizes for a comfortable fit

LOVE THESE!

These are my everyday go-to shoes this winter! I've had them for about a month now and they're great with big wool socks, they're cute, and they're comfortable. If you've worn berks in the past, know that they don't feel as grippy as clogs with arches. But I don't have issues with them sliding off. Thanks for making these. I'm so in love.

I have at least seven pairs of Rhizal shoes now. I had to return these for a bigger size since I will probably end up wearing socks with them in winter and didn’t think of that when I ordered them in summer.
Excellent craftsmanship, old world style, great materials and customer service par excellence!
I love this company and everything they produce. Long live independent manufacturing and quality goods!

Christopher, you're a VIP! 7 pairs is incredible. Glad you appreciate what we do. More to come - thank you so much! Hope you enjoy them for years to come.
