What is grounding?
Grounding means making an electrical connection between your body and the Earth. The Noma has a pure copper plug through its leather sole, creating a conductive path when you stand or walk on a conductive ground surface.
The copper connection is one part of the design. The wide toe box, zero-drop heel, and flexible sole are what let your feet move naturally.

How should the Noma fit?
Runs true to size. We factored the sheep wool lining in to the sizing. If unsure, sizing up will be best for a relaxed fit - especially with socks!

What is the sole made from?
The sole is natural water buffalo leather, with a pure copper grounding plug. It is flexible and zero drop, keeping the heel and forefoot level.
How does the copper grounding plug work?
The copper plug runs through the sole, providing a conductive path between your foot and a conductive surface such as soil or grass. Contact with the ground matters; insulating surfaces interrupt that path.
Is the Noma lined with sheep wool?
Yes. Natural shearling sheep wool lines the interior for warmth. The upper is nubuck leather; the sole is water buffalo leather.
How do I care for my pair?
Brush away dry dirt gently and let the pair air dry away from direct heat. Avoid soaking or machine washing. Let the sheep wool lining air between wears. Use care products suited to nubuck; smooth-leather conditioners can change the look of suede or nubuck.

Well made and warm. I ground barefoot every morning and am hoping these allow me to continue to ground throughout this winter. So far, they are warm enough on frosty mornings. As others have noted, they are snug, but ok for what I'm doing. I might size up my next pair

LOVE them! I have been searching for footwear that can be grounding and these are great. Thy have leather soles and uppers, sheepskin lining, and a copper conductor under the ball of the foot area. These are very comfortable and get more so with each wearing. They have molded to me feet although initially I thought they were to small. i wear them without socks. Initially, I could feel the stitching under my toes which I did not like, but this has become a non-issue. I will definitely a pair for my daughter. So glad to have found these!

These boots are so comfortable. I have been wearing barefoot shoes for over 5 years now and have tried many brands! These shoes feel SO good on my feet. They are definitely some of the best barefoot shoe brands out there. They are made incredibly well and I will definitely be wearing these all spring/fall. I cant wait to purchase more! They do run slightly small however so I recommend sizing up.

Excellent Craftsmanship! Super comfortable! As soon as they arrived, I put them on and almost went to bed with them. The weather has finally gotten cooler in my area so I can go out for true earthing or grounding experience, since I live on the lake with sidewalks and grass. I love the style also. My Nomas arrived just before the big ice storm in January 2026. They have kept my feet so incredibly warm and without wearing any socks. I only wear the women & men (had 2 pairs custom sized) Rana flip flops from Rhizal because I live on the coast; however, I can’t seem to not wanting to put these on my feet. VERY comfortable & breaking in quickly to your feet. Well worth the cost.Shalom

These are very special boots, really well-made - I absolutely LOVE them! So comfy and cozy - the soft shearling feels so good around my feet, as does the smooth leather below them, which is getting smoother with wear. I've owned UGGS for years, and these Nomas are superior quality with nicer leathers and shearling. It's really hard to find shoes with natural shearling these days - many brands have gone synthetic. The fact that these boots can also ground me, unlike UGGs, is icing on the cake. That said, I've actually been wearing them indoors (sometimes on a grounding mat) because the weather outside is too snowy and icy - I don't want to ruin the beautiful leathers (the copper rivet can also feel cold in freezing temps). They were a bit snug at first, but are breaking in nicely. I love that Rhizal provides such high quality products - a rarity these days.

The Noma sheepskin booties are the best!! I absolutely love them and wear them all the time. They keep my feet toasty warm. They are incredibly comfortable. I currently have the tan and will be purchasing black very soon. IMHO, they are a must have!!
