Artificial light disrupts your sleep.

Restore your natural circadian rhythm by blocking blue light in the evening.

Like your ancestors sitting around the fire.

Designed for night use.

These lenses are designed for evenings - when screens, LEDs, and artificial lighting can keep your brain in “day mode.”

Wear them after sunset to reduce blue and green light exposure and support a smoother wind-down.

These wavelengths trick your brain.

Blue and green light tell your brain it's time to be awake.

In nature, those wavelengths disappear after sunset.

But modern artificial light and screens blast you with them, disrupting sleep signals.

Blue light blocking lenses remove these wavelengths, helping your brain recognize that night has arrived.

Spectrometer tested.

Verified to block the wavelengths of light most disruptive to sleep.

Blocks 99%+ of blue-green light (380-540nm).

A forgotten natural material.

Crafted from genuine buffalo horn, these frames are shaped, polished, and finished by hand - not molded from plastic.

Horn: Nature's Plastic

The earliest known eyewear was crafted from horn or bone - long before modern plastics existed. These materials were chosen for their durability, comfort, and natural feel against the skin.

Unlike synthetic frames, horn is warm to the touch, lightweight for comfort, and strong for a perfect fit.

Every frame is one-of-a-kind from nature with varying coloration, grain, and translucence - no two pairs are ever exactly alike.

The Fit: Frame 108

A smaller, retro frame shape. Ideal for small or medium faces, or anyone preferring a compact vintage look.

No Two Are Exactly Alike

Natural water buffalo horn is a living material with varying coloration, grain, striations, and translucence.

Each pair carries nature's unique fingerprint.

We categorize by color tone, but variation is to be expected, and where the beauty is.

Horn Mix Light:

Majority light tones from white to beige, from opaque to translucent, with a varying amount of darker coloration.

Horn Mix:

Medium tones dominate, from browns and greys to tans or translucent amber. Often with hits of light or dark contrast.

Horn Mix Dark:

Mostly dark tones, typically near-black, with varying marbling and striations of medium tones or translucence.

Frequently Asked Questions

The night lenses are designed specifically for evening use after sunset to prepare for sleep. For daytime computer use, yellow day lenses are coming soon. Night lenses should not be worn while driving.

The warm tint indicates strong reduction of blue and green light wavelengths most associated with circadian disruption. Clear lenses claiming to do this don't work.

Each frame is crafted from natural buffalo horn so coloration, pattern, and translucence varies. We categorize by color tone, but no two frames are exactly alike. Each frame shows off the one-of-a-kind beauty of the natural world.

For any concern around variation, you can verify and approve your exact frame immediately after placing your order by emailing info@rhizal.co

Yes. Buffalo horn is a strong, naturally resilient material that has been used in eyewear and tools for centuries. With basic care, horn frames are designed to last for years and can be maintained over time.

Our frames are made from water buffalo horn - the same animal used widely in leather goods, including our shoe outsoles. The horn is a natural byproduct of the food and leather industries and would otherwise go to waste.

We believe in using the whole animal, minimizing waste, and choosing natural materials over petroleum-based synthetics. For us, honoring the full animal is far better than synthetic pollutants.

Our frames are designed to fit nearly everybody. Some styles are larger or smaller, with exact measurements listed on each product page to help you choose confidently. For blue blockers, "too big" can be perfect for more eye coverage. We offer one free US exchange if a different frame design is preferred. Returns are possible within 30 days for unused items.

Occasionally hydrate the natural horn with a light coat of natural oil or tallow. Horn is made of keratin, like hair or fingernails, and can dry out over time. Occasional hydration will keep them in perfect condition for years to come.
